This is a step by step guide on how to install and run your Time Doctor software for the first time in Unbuntu (32 bit or 64 bit versions).


NOTE: Don't use ROOT privileges (don't use use sudo or su command). Run setup under your user privileges.

 

1.)  Download your preferred version of the installer from the website at http://www.timedoctor.com/download.html:

2.)  Open your Terminal by pressing CTRL+ALT+T or by typing "terminal" it in the search bar:

3.)  Be sure the previous installation is removed manually before install following packages. Run sudo apt-get remove timedoctor in terminal to remove old .deb package from your system. Set execution attribute on *.run file after downloading with command   chmod a+x setup-timedoctor-*-linux*.run or run over shell bash setup-timedoctor-X.X.X-linux.run - for 32bit system and bash setup-timedoctor-X.X.X-linux-x64.run - for 64bit system:

4.)  Run the setup file:

5.)  Time Doctor is now installed, but it won't launch quite yet!  To fix this, please follow instructions in this link - Installing libraries and dependencies on Linux.  For example:

6.)  That's it! You may now run Time Doctor and start working!
