This is an issue related to the operating system. It’s usually related to a Windows update or a missing library. Follow the instructions below, which will resolve this issue most of the time.
Update Windows.
Make sure to run all critical/important Windows updates. Once the updates are installed, restart your computer and try to install the app again.
Install/repair Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015.
- Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features.
- Look for “C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015.”
- Right-click on it and select “Repair.”
Note: If it isn’t installed already, you can install it using this link.
If the repair doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015.
- Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features.
- Look for “C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015.”
- Right-click on it and select “Uninstall.”
- Restart your computer.
- Check for any registry issues. (Something like CCleaner can help you with this.)
- Install Visual C++ 2015, both 64-bit and 32-bit, using this link.
- Restart the computer again.
- Check for any Windows updates.
- Try installing the Time Doctor app again.
