List of Time Doctor Chrome Extension or Firefox AddOn 3rd party platform Integrations
Note: Browser Extension Integrations (Chrome Extension / Firefox Add‑On) are available on all Time Doctor subscription plans and can be enabled by Owners and Admins on Settings / Integrations.
TL;DR:
-
Install the Chrome Extension or Firefox Add‑On.
-
Enable Projects & Tasks in Settings / Company Settings.
-
Enable the integration on Settings / Integrations; optionally target specific users via Settings / Users.
-
Start/stop tracking from supported third‑party tools using the Time Doctor button.
Time Doctor integrates with popular third‑party tools via a browser extension (Chrome) or add‑on (Firefox). The extension inserts a Start/Stop button directly into supported apps so time is tracked in Time Doctor without leaving the third‑party tool. Tracking syncs with the desktop app and appears in reports.
Requirements
-
Use the Interactive desktop app (not Automatic).
-
Enable Projects & Tasks in Settings / Company Settings.
-
Enable the extension on Settings / Integrations (enable company‑wide or for selected users).

Setup Checklist (do this in order)
-
Install the Chrome Extension (Chrome Web Store) or Firefox Add‑On (AMO).
-
In Settings / Company Settings, enable Projects & Tasks.
-
In Settings / Integrations, enable Browser Extension Integrations (company‑wide or for selected users).
-
Confirm the Time Doctor button appears in the supported tool; start/stop tracking.
Notes & Limitations
-
The extension works only with Interactive tracking.
-
For Jira, time can be sent back to Jira worklogs from the browser session.
-
Some third‑party tools regularly rebrand (e.g., G Suite → Google Workspace, Office 365 → Microsoft 365, Glip → RingCentral). The integration name in Time Doctor may reflect the legacy or current brand.
-
Phacility/Phabricator has been discontinued by the vendor; confirm suitability before adoption.
Troubleshooting
-
If the button doesn’t appear, ensure Projects & Tasks and the integration are enabled, and refresh the third‑party app tab.
-
Check for browser permissions issues (especially for Firefox on Ubuntu).
-
Verify the desktop app is running and the correct user is logged in.
