Does Time Doctor Allow Limits for Contractor's Tracked Time?

 

No, Time Doctor does not currently support limiting the amount of time that contractors can track.

Contractors or users with any other access level can track time without restrictions based on duration. At present, there is no built-in feature that enforces a maximum tracked time limit per day, week, or billing period.

While tracked time can be monitored through reports and manually edited by admins or managers with appropriate access, automated time caps cannot be configured within the platform.

 

Alternative Options

  • Monitor usage: Use the Reports section to regularly review the amount of time tracked by contractors.

  • Edit manually: Admins can adjust tracked time manually via the Edit Time page.

  • Communicate guidelines: Set external policies or agreements with contractors about expected work hours or caps.
