How to Review and Approve New Automatic App Users
Note: New Automatic App Users approval is available with all Time Doctor Subscription Plans depending on each company use case (confirm with support@timedoctor.com if the account is eligible). This can be accessed and configured by both Owners & Admins.
TL;DR:
- Contact support to check for eligibility to use this feature.
- Once confirmed eligible, Review and Approve New Automatic App Users setting will be made available in Settings / Company Settings.
- Enable Review and Approve New Automatic App Users setting.
- New Automatic Users tab will be available under Settings / Users.
Steps
- Enable Review and approve new automatic application users in Settings / Company Settings under the Configuration section. This is disabled by default.

- Confirm that the New Automatic Users tab appears in Settings / Users.

- Understand the categories within New Automatic Users:
- Pending approval – Lists all new automatic user attempts. Billing does not start.

- Approved users – Users approved but not yet tracking time. Billing starts only after tracking begins. Once tracking starts, users move to Settings / Users under Active Users.

- Blocked users – User profiles that should not be tracked.

- Pending approval – Lists all new automatic user attempts. Billing does not start.
Caution: Restart the device for the user to be detected by the system and moved to the Active Users tab in Settings / Users page.
