How to Update/Change Your Time Doctor Subscription Plan

 

Note: Subscription Management is available on all Time Doctor plans and can be accessed by the Owner. Access may be granted to selected users via Settings / Company Settings > Billing.

 

TL;DR:
  • Open Settings / Billing and select the pencil icon beside Subscription plan.
  • Choose Pay Monthly or Pay Annually and select the desired plan.
  • On trial: add a valid card under Personal info to enable changes; no charges occur until the trial ends.
  • After trial: Upgrade takes effect immediately at a prorated amount; Downgrade applies at the next billing cycle.
  • Confirm the change and review the updated details on the Billing page.

 

Update or Change a Subscription PlanBefore starting

  • Ensure Owner access to Settings / Billing. To grant access to other users, go to Settings / Company Settings, scroll to the Billing section, and select who can access billing.
  • If on a free trial, enter a valid credit card under Settings / Billing / Personal info to complete plan changes. Payment processes only when the trial ends.

 

Change the plan while on trial

  1. Select the pencil icon beside Subscription plan to view plan options and features.
  2. Choose Pay Annually (discounted) or Pay Monthly.
  3. Select the desired plan, then choose Upgrade or Downgrade.
  4. If no card is on file, enter card details under Personal info. No payment is processed before the trial ends.
  5. Review the summary and select Change plan to confirm.
  6. Verify the updated Subscription plan details on the Billing page.

 

Change the plan after the trial

  1. Complete steps 1–5 above.
  2. Upgrade: apply immediately at a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period; charge occurs right away to the current payment source. Select Confirm upgrade to proceed.
  3. Downgrade: schedule for the next billing period; the current plan remains active until the end of the present cycle. Select Confirm downgrade to proceed.
  4. Confirm that the Billing page reflects the pending or active plan as expected.

 

Switch between monthly and annual billing

  • Select Pay Monthly or Pay Annually in the Subscription plan editor.
  • When switching to annual billing, charge occurs upon switch for the annual amount less any unused, prepaid time.

 

Tips & notes

  • Changes to the plan may adjust available features immediately after an upgrade or at the start of the next cycle after a downgrade.
  • Keep the Invoices tab under Settings / Billing handy to review past charges and download invoices.
