TL;DR:
Track the total duration a user’s microphone is active to measure time spent in meetings, regardless of the application in focus or mute status. Insights are available on both the user and team dashboards.
Meeting Time Tracking Overview
Meeting Time Tracking provides visibility into how much time an individual user or team spends in meetings. This data supports better time management and improved productivity.
How It Works
Meeting Time reflects the total time a user’s microphone is active—regardless of whether it is muted or which application is in use.
These insights are available on:
- User Dashboard
- Team Dashboard
Examples
- When on a Zoom call with a different application in focus, time is still counted as meeting time because the microphone is active.
- When on a Zoom call while muted, time is still counted as meeting time since the microphone remains active.
- When the Zoom app is open but no call is active (microphone not active), time is not counted as meeting time.
