How to get the local cache and background page logs from browser app

To troubleshoot any issues reported for the browser app, the Time Doctor Support team may request you that share the Time Doctor extension logs. Below are the instructions on how you can get these logs.

Note: Please make sure not to close your browser window if you have experienced an issue until you have exported the logs.

 

To get the cache file and the background page logs for the browser app, follow these steps

 

How to get the local cache

  1. Click on the "triple dots" icon next to the extension icon in the web browser

  2. Go to Options
  3. Click on the Export option under Local Cache
  4. Save the file which will get downloaded to the Downloads folder

How to get the background page logs

  1. Click on the "triple dots" icon next to the extension icon in the web browser

  2. Go to manage settings
  3. Click on the background page URL under Inspect views (Note: developer mode needs to be enabled to access this page)
  4. In the newly opened window right-click on the last log entry and select Save
  5. Save the file anywhere you can easily locate it
