How to get the local cache and background page logs from browser app

 

Note: Exporting local cache and background page logs is available in all Time Doctor subscription plans and can be accessed by all user roles.

How to Get the Local Cache from the Browser App

  1. Open the Time Doctor Browser App in Chrome.
  2. Click the three-dot menu on the extension toolbar.
  3. Select Options.
  4. Click Export Local Cache.
  5. Save the exported file in an easily accessible location (for example, the Downloads folder).

How to Get the Background Page Logs

  1. Open Chrome and go to the Extensions page by clicking the three-dot menu → ExtensionsManage Extensionfor Time Doctor.
  2. Enable Developer Mode in the upper-right corner if it is not already on.
  3. Under Inspect views, click background page.
  4. In the Developer Tools window that opens, select the Console tab.
  5. Right-click inside the console area and choose Save as….
  6. Save the log file in an easily accessible location (for example, the Downloads folder).

Before Exporting

  • Keep the browser open until both files are saved.
  • Reproduce the issue before exporting to ensure logs capture the problem.
  • Save both files together and attach them when responding to Support.
