How to Switch Ownership of Your Time Doctor Account

 

Note: Ownership Transfer is available in all of Time Doctor's Subscription Plans and can be accessed by Owner (to initiate) and Admins (eligible to be selected as the new Owner).

 

TL;DR: 
 
Transfer account ownership from the current Owner in Settings → Company settings. Ensure the intended recipient already has Admin access. After transfer, the former Owner is automatically set to Admin.

 

How to Switch Ownership of a Time Doctor AccountBefore starting

  • Confirm that the intended new Owner has Admin access.
  • If not, promote the user in Settings → Users → Level.

 

Transfer ownership

  1. Sign in as the current Owner.
  2. In Owner, select the new Owner (must be an Admin).

  3. Confirm in the pop-up by selecting Continue.

What happens next

  • The new Owner gains Owner permissions immediately.
  • The previous Owner’s access level changes to Admin.
 

Requirements and constraints

  • Only the current Owner can perform an ownership change.
  • A company account can have only one Owner at a time.

 

Tips
  • Prepare a backup Admin who can be selected as Owner when leadership changes are planned.
