Time Doctor Default Email Notifications

 

Note: Default Email Notifications is available in Standard and Premium subscription plans and can be accessed by Managers, Admins, and Owners.

Enable built-in Default Email Notifications to automatically inform stakeholders about key time-tracking and attendance signals—no setup required. Conditions vary by company type (Interactive/Mixed vs Automatic), and recipients depend on company size. Manage or unsubscribe from Settings → Email notifications.

What notifications are included?

When Allow regular users to request leave time is enabled

  • Real-time: User added leave time
When Schedules is enabled
  • Daily: Did not follow a work schedule
For Interactive and Mixed companies
  • Daily: Unproductive time % per day greater than 5%
  • Daily: Did not track time last day
  • Daily: Manual and mobile time added greater than 1 hour
  • Daily: Daily hours tracked lower than 6 hours
For Automatic companies
  • Daily: Unproductive time % per day greater than 10%
  • Daily: Did not track time last day
  • Daily: Daily hours tracked lower than 6 hours

Tip: Configure additional custom alerts if needed via Settings → Email notifications.

 

Who receives these notifications?

  • Companies with fewer than 300 users: Owners, Admins, and Managers receive notifications for people within their scope.
  • Companies with 300+ users: Managers receive notifications for the groups they manage.
  • Owner fallback rule: Owners receive Default Email Notifications only if no custom email notifications have been created in the company.

 

How to manage Default Email Notifications

  • Use the Unsubscribe link included in each email to adjust delivery preferences.
  • Edit, enable, disable, or delete notifications from Settings → Email notifications.
