Insights Regular Users Can Get From Time Doctor Reports

 

Note: Regular-user access to personal dashboards and most reports is included in all Time Doctor plans. Web & App Usage and Projects & Tasks features are available on Standard and Premium plans. Access via Regular User role.

Review personal dashboard trends, reduce context switching, prioritize high‑impact tasks, track time‑wasters with Web & App Usage, and rebalance focus toward core work. Use Timelines, Projects & Tasks, and Web & App Usage to set goals and monitor progress.

 

Understand working patterns

  • Open Dashboard → Past 7 days / Past 30 days.
  • Scan start/end times, breaks, and daily totals.
  • Identify overwork or too many/too few breaks; set a target schedule and adhere to it.

Maintain focus with longer work blocks (if Projects & Tasks are enabled)

  • Open Dashboard → Timelines.
  • Aim for longer continuous blocks on a single task; minimize rapid task switching.
  • Reassess workflow (notifications, meetings, batching tasks) to protect deep‑work time.

Identify time‑heavy tasks (if Projects & Tasks are enabled)

  • Sort by total time to spot heavy tasks; set daily/weekly caps for low‑impact items.

  • Open Dashboard → Quick preview or Reports → Web & App Usage.
  • Track time on sites/apps rated Unproductive; set a target to decrease it.
  • Use site blockers or scheduled check‑ins for email/chat to limit distractions.

  • Open Reports → Web & App Usage.
  • Review time on core work apps vs. supportive apps (email, chat).
  • Shift time toward the tools that progress key tasks.

Report data types at a glance

Productivity ratings (when Web & App Usage is enabled)

  • Productive / Unproductive / Neutral / Unrated are derived from websites & applications used. Ratings are set by company administrators and may be customized.
Computer time
  • Time tracked by the desktop application. Included in productive/unproductive calculations.
Manual time
  • Time added via Edit Time or created when extending a desktop‑tracked interval. Visibility and approval follow company settings.
Mobile time
  • Time tracked on the Time Doctor mobile app (Android and iOS). Excluded from productive/unproductive calculations.
